Just An Ordinary Girl

Phuket is one of our favorite getaway destination. We saw the exotic island around July last year and booked another trip to Phuket again for May this season. For our visit to Phuket this past year, we remained at Cape Sienna Hotel & Villas in Kamala and liked the great tranquility far away from Patong. This time, we decided to stay in Kamala again, but ideally, in a different hotel.

After looking and reading tons of reviews online, we decided to book our stay at Ayara Kamala Resort & Spa. Night Honeymoon package deal in a Deluxe Sea view room We booked the 4 days 3. My room reservation is confirmed Once, I proceeded to email Ayara to arrange an airport transfer. Reply was fast and we had everything organized before our trip. It takes an hour. 5 to fly from Kuala Lumpur to Phuket.

Upon appearance, we were delighted to find our driver keep an Ayara Kamala’s indication with this name on it looking forward to us at the entrance gate. He greeted us warmly with smiles and led us to the automobile. Ayara Kamala is a 5-star luxury resort that is defined among the cliff tops, within a gated community on the famous Millionaire’s Mile in Phuket – the same location as many of the island’s top luxury development and multi-dollars villas. Nestled high through to a hill, the resort overlooks the scenic Kamala bay and it is surrounded by lush greenery.

Offering luxury and seclusion, this exclusive resort became our perfect hideaway for a few days on the picturesque island. Sitting at the beginning of the Millionaire’s Mile are the luxurious Andara Resort & Villas, and right next door, you shall find Cape Sienna Hotel & Villas. Ayara is situated further uphill and it requires about a quarter-hour by car to get from the beach to the resort, with a long windy road.

Its location is very inconvenient and it was impossible to get anywhere by foot. There were also no convenience stores nearby, so if we need to buy some snack foods and drinks, we will need to get out by a car. The motor car trip from the airport to the vacation resort had taken about 50 minutes. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by smiling faces and invited to rest in a cozy little room right next to the reception.

The reception area is quite small but functional with simple decoration. At this time we moved into the house, we feel a sense of peacefulness and calm. Relaxing cold Roselle and towels drinks are served while the staffs performed check in methods for us. Service had not been as good as we expected.

The staffs did not brief us anything about the holiday resort. They even forgot to give us the vouchers for our evening tea (which is included in our package deal) until we asked them about any of it. We experienced a buggy car that carried us from the lobby to our room. Our room is set on the high terrains of the resort, at the ultimate end of the steep slope. The gray granite stone road made the 5 minute ride bumpy and uncomfortable. It shall be challenging to pull our suitcases in the hill.

  • 3 plums crushed (or enough to mix with coffee to a paste)
  • Lotion is an essential part of his routine. He puts on twice as much cream as he needs to
  • You can try Latisse on your eyebrows if they’re sparse
  • Stuffed toys are just for little kids or ladies
  • Laser skeet
  • Free of dyes

Be ready to do plenty of climbing if you stay here. Or if you feel lazy or exhausted, you can also rely on the resort’s buggy services to get around. Yes, Ayara offers a buggy service which is free for all those guests. Simply give the reception a call and they will be pleased to organize a buggy to pick you up and drive you to wherever you want to go in the resort.

We did not really make use of the buggy service during our stay. Most of the time, we thought we would walk. It was a tedious climb up the hill because the road is actually steep and rocky. We took it as a chance to train our legs just. The resort is not wheel chair accessible and people with disabilities should remember that rooms are accessed via staircases.
